Welcome to our site, to the u3a and to Henley-on-Thames, a beautiful riverside town at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. It is a well-established tourist attraction with its riverside walks, River and Rowing Museum, theatre, cinema, restaurants and bars, plus a series of festivals and the world-famous Royal Regatta.
So, what can u3a offer in addition?

Learn for the love of learning, meet new people and share your interests by joining Henley u3a, part of the largest adult-learning community in the UK.
We currently have more than 30 activity groups covering a wide range of topics including art appreciation talks, an art workshop, three book groups, creative writing, three music groups, five different languages and two walking groups. In addition, there are monthly talks on a variety of subjects, coffee mornings, weekend lunches and other social activities.
Groups are organised by volunteer members who share their experience and knowledge, or, simply, their interest in the topic.
New members bring new ideas, knowledge and enthusiasm. Friendships are forged. Active participation as group leaders, committee members or volunteers at events is encouraged and welcomed. The u3a is a wonderful transition from working life through continued learning and meeting people.
Members receive an informative half-yearly Newsletter and a quarterly national magazine, u3a Matters.
Founded in 1981, the Third Age Trust is a registered charity with over 450,000 members in the UK belonging to over 1,000 branches. Henley was one of the first branches, forme d in 1982.
The branch is managed by a committee of volunteers. Their details can be found via the Contacts link above
Henley u3a gives a warm welcome to new members who would like to participate in existing activities or to introduce new ones as coordinators. Membership costs just £15 per year.
