Music Appreciation Group 1 meets on the 4^th Thursday of the month at 2:30pm in member’s homes to listen to and discuss a wide variety of music, mostly classical.  Members take it in turns to select the programme for the afternoon.

Recently we have enjoyed Music about Trains, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Musical Representations of Birdsong.

We encourage members to present one programme per year and there is plenty of help available. However this is not a condition of membership.

We are a very friendly group, mostly without specialist musical knowledge. We would love you to join us.
