Have you always wanted to write? Do you have a story inside you, desperate to get out? Or perhaps you would like to write memoirs for your family, or do you simply want to improve your writing?
The group is led by Charles Whittaker. He holds an M.A. in English and a Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing. It is aimed primarily at those relatively new to creative writing and adopts a participative teaching and learning approach to develop writing style.

Anthology
In 2018, Henley u3a published an anthology of writings and art to showcase the talents of our members. The beautiful painting on the cover was done by Denise Keir, a very talented artist and active u3a member, who sadly died shortly after publication.
The book began life in the Creative Writing Workshops, mainly the result of the monthly assignments written by group members. We then asked the Art Group to offer their work to broaden the scope of the book and add interest. The selling price was £5 and almost all the 50 copies printed sold out within a few weeks.
